Report: WVU Football Signs Highly Regarded UConn OL Carsten Cassidy
As the new WVU offensive line continues to take shape, West Virginia has signed UConn transfer Carsten Cassidy, per Chris Hummer of 247 Sports.
The 6-foot-7 and 300-pound Cassidy comes to Morgantown without ever allowing a sack in his carer. 247 Sports ranks Cassidy as their No. 23 offensive tackle.
Cassidy will have three years left of eligibility.ย
A product of Rolesville High School in Rolesville, N.C., Cassidy was a key member of an offensive line that led the way for a rushing attack that averaged 211 yards per game and finished with 33 touchdowns during his senior year.
