WVU Football pursuing Noah Tishendorf

It’s not often the WVU football program looks to the complete other side of the country for talent, but a 2026 prospect from the Pacific Northwest will be making his way all the way to West Virginia.

Noah Tishendorf (6-foot-3, 255 pounds), an edge rusher from Oregon, announced he has an official visit scheduled with WVU for the weekend of June 6-8. And despite already being committed to stay in his home state and play for Oregon State, Tishendorf is still entertaining the possibility of flipping to West Virginia.

Tishendorf, who carries a three-star rating from at least one major recruiting service, committed to the Beavers on March 10 over notable offers from Fresno State, UNLV and Washington State. He also had offers on the table from Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Sacramento State, San Diego State, San Jose State, Utah State and Wyoming among others.

West Virginia extended him an offer a day following his commitment to Oregon State.

With most of Tishendorf’s interest coming from schools out west, it would say a lot about what West Virginia thinks of him and their sales pitch if he would end up as a Mountaineer, granted the opportunity to play in a Power Four conference like the Big 12 may be an obvious factor as well.

Tishendorf has told WV Sports Now that he feels the WVU coaches love him and he’s looking forward to his upcoming trip to Morgantown.

Tishendorf is considered a top 10 prospect in his class out of Oregon by 247 Sports.
