The WVU football program sent an offer to a pass rusher prospect from a neighboring state on Wednesday, March 18.
Cleveland, Ohio native and 2027 recruit Kaylon Bailey posted about his offer on social media, making it the first one he’s publicized in March. The 6-foot-2 and 225-pound edge attends Glenville High School and is considered one of the top 50 players in the state, according to On3 Sports.
He’s ranked at No. 41 for his class in Ohio and No. 93 among edge rushers in the country.
West Virginia now joins an offer list that already included Power Four schools California, Cincinnati, Iowa State, Michigan State, Pitt and Syracuse as well as Group of 5 opportunities from Bowling Green, East Michigan, Kent State, Miami (OH), Toledo and USF.
