WVU Football OL recruit Carter Stallard at Virginia Tech

Three-star offensive line prospect Carter Stallard arrived at WVU football camp looking to impress the West Virginia coaches and left with an offer.

Stallard tweeted that his time at camp on Wednesday earned him an offer from the Mountaineers. The 6-foot-8 and 310-pound class of 2024 product has two more season of high school football remaining in Christiansburg, Virginia.

At least one major recruiting outlet lists Stallard as a top player. 247 Sports places him as the number 11 overall recruit and the number 18 offensive lineman in the country for the 2025 class.

West Virginia was not the only Power Five program to send an offer to Stallard this week. Virginia Tech also made their interest in Stallard official. He traveled to Blacksburg on his way home from WVU to visit the Hokies program.

Stallard has been busy scheduling visits with major programs all throughout June. He is scheduled to attend Georgia, North Carolina, Penn State and Syracuse camps in the coming weeks. FIU is another school he’s been in constant communication with.

Recruiting offensive lineman continues to be a point of emphasis for WVU. Building a strong offensive line with depth is always important, but will be especially necessary with the expected upcoming 2024 departures to pursue the NFL by Zach Frazier and Doug Nester.
