West Virginia has another recruit locked in for an official visit. Three-star cornerback Romanas Frederique will be checking out the WVU football program in June.

The class of 2024 Fort Lauderdale, Florida native is scheduled to be in Morgantown from June 9 to 11. Frederique (6-foot-1, 175 pounds) is currently a junior at Saint Thomas Aquinas High School.

WVU sent Frederique an offer on April 11. The Mountaineers are one of only a few non Florida based Power Five schools to offer Frederique, joining the likes of new Big 12 members Houston and UCF. He has also received offers from FIU, FAU, Florida State and Miami (FL) among others.

Frederique is regarded as a three-star player by multiple recruiting outlets and ranked as one of the top 100 Florida prospect by 247 Sports.

Securing a commitment from Frederique would accomplish two goals for the WVU football program – add depth to the future of the secondary and continue to build a Florida recruiting pipeline.
