The Mountaineers can seal the deal with three-star offensive lineman Demeco Kennedy during his official visit with the WVU football program this weekend.

Kennedy (6-foot-2, 285 pounds), a class of 2024 product from Lexington, Kentucky, posted a graphic to show he’s in Morgantown for a visit on Friday. He’s about to be a senior at Frederick Douglass High School in the fall.

Kennedy, who received a WVU offer in December, is regarded as a three-star player by most national recruiting outlets. He’s ranked firmly as a top 10 recruit by Rivals, 247 Sports and On3.com.

In addition to West Virginia, Kennedy has offers from Ball State, Connecticut, Eastern Kentucky, Illinois, Louisville, Marshall, Miami (OH), Ole Miss, Purdue, Toledo, UAB and Western Michigan.

Recruiting offensive lineman continues to be a point of emphasis for WVU. Building a strong offensive line with depth is always important, but will be especially necessary with the expected upcoming 2024 departures to pursue the NFL by Zach Frazier and Doug Nester.
