WVU Football LB Trey McGlothlin

There’s just no stopping the WVU football staff in their plan to bring in as many recruits as possible.

For their second addition of the day after the Early National Signing Day, West Virginia announced linebacker Trey McGlothlin.

After initially committing to Big 12 foe Oklahoma State, McGlothlin will instead head to West Virginia and play for Rich Rodriguez. WVU became involved with the Bixby, Okla. native after former Cowboys head coach Mike Gundy was fired early in the 2025 season.

McGlothlin (6-foot-3, 190 pounds) also had offers from Arizona State, Boston College, Kansas, Iowa, Texas Tech and Wisconsin among many others.
