After initially committing to Big 12 foe Oklahoma State, McGlothlin will instead head to West Virginia and play for Rich Rodriguez. WVU became involved with the Bixby, Okla. native after former Cowboys head coach Mike Gundy was fired early in the 2025 season.
McGlothlin (6-foot-3, 190 pounds) also had offers from Arizona State, Boston College, Kansas, Iowa, Texas Tech and Wisconsin among many others.
Rated as a three-star by most national recruiting services, McGlothlin is considered one of the top 15 players in Oklahoma.
