WVU Football Lands 2026 Memphis RB Christopher Talley

The WVU football staff found another reason to set off celebratory fireworks on the Fourth of July. They landed a commitment from a 2026 running back.

Christopher Talley announced his commitment live on Instagram on Friday.

Talley picked West Virginia over Power Four offers from Arkansas, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech and Pitt and even other notable opportunities from Liberty, Memphis, Southern Mississippi, Tulsa and several others.

Listed at 6-foot and 170 pounds, Talley attends Whitehaven High School in Memphis, Tenn.

Talley received an offer from WVU running backs coach Larry Porter in March, ironically soon after Pitt, and then traveled to Morgantown for an official visit in mid June. He also took a recent trip to Georgia Tech.
