Highly Coveted 2026 WVU Football Recruit Ready to Reveal Commitment

The wait is over for the WVU football staff when it comes to learning the decision of another top recruit. Jett Goldsberry is all set to announce his commitment Monday evening.

Goldsberry (6-foot, 195 pounds) will reveal his final choice at 5:30 p.m. CT during a ceremony at Heritage Hills High School in Lincoln City, Ind.

Goldsberry, a highly coveted athlete out of Indiana, will pick from a final group that consists of schools all over the map from three of the Power Four conferences – North Carolina, Ole Miss, Purdue, Rutgers, Wake Forest and West Virginia.

A high school quarterback, Goldsberry is being recruited as simply an athlete by most programs. Goldsberry’s athleticism makes him someone worthy of a roster spot, even if that means a position change in college, possibly to defense.

Before narrowing down his list, Goldsberry had 24 offers on the table that also included Power Four opportunities from Louisville, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin.

Goldsberry is ranked as the No. 6 Indiana recruit by 247 Sports and No. 11 by Rivals.

Even though most are projecting Goldsberry to either North Carolina or Ole Miss, WVU did spend time with him most recently. Goldsberry took an official visit to West Virginia in mid June after his trip to Ole Miss. WVU’s offer came on March 31.
