WVU Football LB Exree Loe to Play in Tropical Bowl

West Virginia linebacker Exree Loe will play in the upcoming Tropical Bowl next week.

The WVU program promoted Loe playing in the game with a tweet and a graphic on Wednesday afternoon. Loe will now have an opportunity showcase himself in front of NFL scouts and executives along with other standout players from around the country.

The Tropical Bowl, which has been held annually since 2016, is considered a college football postseason game made up of all-star players. This year’s game will be played at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida on Jan. 21.

Loe had a stellar 2022 season, by far his best individual year as a Mountaineer. He recorded 53 total tackles while playing in all 12 games for only the second time in season during his six-year career with WVU.

“Extremely excited for Exree Loe I know he’ll take full advantage of this opportunity,” said inside linebackers coach and special teams coordinator Jeff Koonz about Loe taking part in everything the Tropical Bowl can offer a player looking to truly prove they belong with some of the best.
