WVU Football Offers 2026 3-Star DL Ranked as Top Player in His State
In an effort to plan for the future, the WVU football program sent an offer to a three-star defensive lineman. Jude Okeleke, a 2026 prospect out of the Taft School in Watertown, Conn., revealed the offer on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday.
Assistant defensive line coach Jaysen Thompson called Okeleke with the offer. The 6-foot-3, 290-pound Okeleke is ranked as the No. 1 Connecticut player in his class by both On3 Sports and 247 Sports.

After a conversation with @CoachThompson_1 I am proud and blessed to receive an offer from @WVUfootball @CoachMooreWVU @CoachJaxDL @TaftFootballCT @GridironImports @247Sports pic.twitter.com/ekcEFJqBM0— Jude Okeleke (@JudeOkeleke1) September 6, 2024
Okeleke is considered a defensive end by most major recruiting outlets and is regarded as among the top 50 defensive lineman in the country.
He also has offers from Connecticut, Dartmouth, Duke, Minnesota, Pitt, Syracuse and Texas State. Notre Dame has even shown interest. A trip to Morgantown should be expected since Okeleke has visited each of the other schools to extend him an offer already.
Okeleke was named a preseason All-New England First-Team All-Defense selection by Prep Redzone New England.
