Over the weekend many recruits made the trek to Morgantown to take in the Mountaineers game vs North Carolina State. Below is a list of those recruits along with what some of them had to say about their trip. This article will continue to be updated as we hear back from the recruits. Enjoy!

2020 ATH Roman Hemby (Bel Air, MD)

“The facilities were amazing! It was my first time getting to see most of it, it was very exciting,”

“The coaches were real cool and welcoming. I feel like I strengthened a lot of relationships with coaches yesterday by getting a chance to touch base with each other.”

“It was a very great experience and I was glad I was able to be a part of it.”

2021 OL Bryce Biggs (Huntington, WV)

“It [the visit] was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was great and they [WVU] played very well.”

“I got a better feel for the program and I was able to see what kind of fan base they really had. I talked to some coaches before and after the game. I was happy to see them come out on top and hopefully I’ll be back for another game soon.”

2021 WR Andrew Wilson-Lamp (Massillon, OH)

“It [the visit] went really well. It was crazy, the fans made me love the atmosphere.”

“When one side of the fans said “Let’s go” and the other said “Mountaineers” was crazy! I’ve only seen that one other time in my life.”

2021 ATH Elijah Sarratt (Stafford, VA)

“The visit went great. As soon as I stepped onto campus I could feel the energy, it was amazing. The coaches and I got to talk a lot which was also great too.”

“I spoke with Coach Addae, Coach Dye and multiple recruiting coordinators. The conversations went great. We talked about football, the school and other things. I liked how the conversation wasn’t just about football. We talked more then that, which made it feel like a family environment. I feel like the more we talked the better our relationship got, which I’m looking forward to continue.”

2021 RB Johnny Martin III (Blackwood, NJ)

“The visit is going good. It was a great atmosphere and could be the best in the country.”

2020 WR Drew Hatfield (Mingo County, WV)

“It was great! WVU has one of the best atmospheres in college football.”

“WVU is obviously a top school for me. Being from West Virginia and growing up watching them play, WVU is definitely up there for me. I’d say the atmosphere and the togetherness from the team is what stuck out the most to me.”

“Scott Gasper is my lead recruiter. I just really like his attitude and positivity.”

2021 RB London Drummond (Berlin, MD)

“It went pretty well, got to speak with coach and enjoy a great game.”

“They [coaches] were extremely welcoming and seemed to be very excited for game day and having all the recruits there to watch them compete.”

“With an atmosphere like that, there’s no way I couldn’t come back again.”

2021 WR Kylen Austin (Baltimore, MD)

“I loved it. Everybody came together as if it was one big family, which it is,”

“I spoke to Coach Dye, the receivers coach. Talking about the season, WVU as a whole and just joking around a little bit. All love!”

“WVU is my dream school. Mainly because of the atmosphere and it feels like I can spend the next 4-6 years in school there.”

2020 ATH Kaveon Ross (Columbus, OH)

“It was a great visit. They showed me and my family a different type of welcoming. The coaches showed mad love, the fans were great and the atmosphere was amazing. Best visit by far!”

“What stuck out most to me is when I talked to a couple of players and they were telling me how they felt about WVU. They told me all good things and how the education is amazing. Another thing that stuck out is that I really got a good connection with a couple of coaches. They treated me like family and that was my first time visiting.”

“Coach Seiler and I just met in person for the first time yesterday. I feel like the relationship is fine right now, but as the season goes I think it will get better because I’ll be staying in touch with him a lot.”
