It is a bye week this week for the Mountaineers, but that doesn’t mean things will slow down for the coaching staff. In addition to practice and the start of preparation for Texas, they will he hitting the road recruiting.

Yesterday, Coach Trickett offered 2020 wide receiver Douglas Emilien of Plantation, FL. Emilien also holds offers from LSU, Cincinnati, Miami, Iowa State, NC State, Syracuse, Maryland and several others.

When asked about his initial thoughts on being offered by West Virginia, Emilien responded, “I was shocked and very thankful. Coach Trickett is a very cool dude, we are going to have a good relationship. It sounds like a place I’d love to go to.”

Emilien also informed WVSportsNow.com that he and Coach Trickett are discussing potential dates for him to visit Morgantown.

The 6-foot 170-pound receiver has great acceleration and can get behind the secondary in a blink of an eye. He also has very good hands and strength to fight for jump balls, even at his stature.
