WVU OL commit Gavin Crawford

Gavin Crawford, a player who has already established himself as one of the leaders of West Virginia’s 2025 class, will be making another trip to Morgantown.

Crawford posted “back home this weekend!” on X (Twitter) on Wednesday to signify that he’s headed back to WVU for another visit. In an effort to make his class as a strong as possible, Crawford will undoubtedly help recruit other prospects also in town while there.

After teasing a “big announcement” and being aligned with WVU for months, offensive line recruit Crawford officially declared his commitment to West Virginia on May 22.

Even after committing, Crawford still took an official visit to WVU in early June. He then explained to WV Sports Now that his OV solidified his commitment to the Mountaineers.

“This OV was very similar to my other experiences. The love was still amazing, it was just longer period.”

Official Visit Further Solidified Commitment to WVU Football for 2025 3-Star OL

Crawford (6-foot-3, 310 pounds) attends Good Counsel High School in Olney, Md. as a 2025 offensive line prospect, the same school as top 2024 signee Kyle Altuner.

Crawford has earned a three-star rating from several national recruiting outlets. Both Rivals and 247 Sports have Crawford as one of the top 20 players in Maryland.

The Mountaineers had serious competition for Crawford. He owns offers from 19 programs, including from big brands like Boston College, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Michigan State, Pitt and Syracuse among others.
