Top WVU Football 2025 OL Target Planning ‘Big Announcement’

Is a big time WVU football recruit planning to announce his commitment decision soon? If he’s not planning to commit, what will top offensive line target Gavin Crawford reveal on Wednesday?

On Tuesday morning, Crawford posted about an upcoming “big announcement” scheduled for Wednesday. This post then triggered WVU fans to speculate that he’s going to commit to the Mountaineers, the program he’s been connected to for a while.

Fans also noticed that Crawford randomly decided to share his initial offer from West Virginia from back in January of 2023 on X (Twitter) just before posting about his announcement.

Crawford (6-foot-3, 310 pounds) attends Good Counsel High School in Olney, Md. as a 2025 prospect, the same school as top 2024 signee Kyle Altuner.

Crawford, who most recently visited Morgantown in mid April, has earned a three-star rating from several national recruiting outlets. Both Rivals and 247 Sports have Crawford as one of the top 20 players in Maryland.

The Mountaineers have serious competition for Crawford. He owns offers from 19 programs, including big brands like Boston College, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Michigan State, Pitt and Syracuse among others.
