WVU Postgame Show: West Virginia Climbs into 2021 with Liberty Bowl Win

Published

on

The West Virginia Mountaineers close out 2020 lifting a trophy and being able to call themselves champions, Liberty Bowl champions to be exact. WVU defeats Army 24-21 to win the Liberty Bowl on New Year’s Eve.

Host Mike Asti is joined by WVSportsNow’s Tom Bragg and Cody Nespor to discuss what winning a bowl game means for Neal Brown and the program after such a challenging season. They also talk about the strange path to get there, which included Brown benching starting quarterback Jarret Doege for Austin Kendall in the second half. Is there now a quarterback controversy heading into the offseason and is it still Doege’s job to loss for the 2021 season?

Grades for the season overall and predictions for next year wrap up this bowl game edition of the WVU postgame show on Pittsburgh Sports Live.
