Dante Stills

Dante Stills’ hard work has paid off and he’s officially a member of an NFL team. Stills has made Arizona’s roster to start the season, as announced by the team on Tuesday.

This news comes just a few days after Stills recorded his first sack in an NFL game as the Cardinals closed out their preseason. Stills totaled six tackles in his two appearances.

After waiting anxiously on the night of the NFL Draft, the Fairmont, West Virginia native was eventually selected by Arizona in sixth round with the 213th pick. The Cardinals were one of the teams who stayed in constant communication with Stills throughout the draft process.

Dante Stills Records First NFL Sack in Arizona’s Preseason Finale

Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 286 pounds, the Fairmont, West Virginia native owns WVU’s all-time tackle for loss record. He impressed NFL teams at events like the East-West Shrine Bowl and NFL Combine once his college career officially ended at WVU in December.

Stills displayed a maturity that will serve him well professionally. And most importantly, he showed that he belongs in the NFL as a player too. This all helped lead him to getting drafted.

Dante Stills became the second member of his family to be drafted into the NFL. His dad played 10 years in the NFL after being drafted in the third round. Darius Stills was not drafted two years ago despite his success in college.

Below includes Stills’ pre-draft profile.
