The wait is over for Dante Stills. It took until the sixth round, but the West Virginia legend eventually heard his name called in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Stills now gets his shot with the Arizona Cardinals. Arizona took him with the 213th overall pick. The Cardinals were one of the teams who stayed in constant communication with Stills throughout the draft process.

Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 286 pounds, the Fairmont, West Virginia native owns WVU’s all-time tackle for loss record. He impressed NFL teams at events like the East-West Shrine Bowl and NFL Combine once his college career officially ended at WVU in December.

Stills displayed a maturity that will serve him well professionally. And most importantly, he showed that he belongs in the NFL as a player too. This all helped lead him to getting drafted.

Dante Stills now becomes the second member of his family to be drafted into the NFL. His dad played 10 years in the NFL after being drafted in the third round. Darius Stills was not drafted two years ago despite his success in college.
