WVU Women’s Soccer Ranked No. 4, Stahl Named National Player of the Week
The West Virginia women’s soccer team received plenty of good news Tuesday, as WVU rose to No. 4 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll and junior forward Alina Stahl was named the national player of the week.

The Mountaineers (9-2, 7-2 Big 12) defeated No. 5 Duke 3-2 at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium Saturday afternoon. Stahl scored the game-winning goal and also tallied an assist. The win gives WVU at least one victory over a top-10 opponent in 15 of the last 16 seasons. Stahl is tied for the team lead with six goals this season and is second with 14 points.
