WVU’s Preston Fox Earns Scholarship After Spring Game Performance
After carving his way up through the fall and spring practices and leading the gold team to a 22-21 victory at Milan Puskar Stadium, Morgantown’s own redshirt sophomore Preston Fox was awarded a scholarship from WVU football head coach Neal Brown and the Mountaineer staff.
The Morgantown High School alumnus racked up 117 yards on five receptions today, and he got to watch his hard work finally pay off in front of his teammates and parents.
Even fellow wide out Kaden Prather added how deserving of the scholarship Fox is.
“We’ve all been waiting,” Prather said. “It got to a point where it’s like, we told coach Brown, ‘What’s going on here? What are you waiting for?’ We were really all excited for him and if anyone deserves it, it’s P. Fox for sure. Very proud of him.”
I’ve been working for this since I was a kid. Thank you to everyone who has believed in me and helped me make it this far. Thank you! Let’s go Mountaineers〽️ https://t.co/pLf1XLfIWl
