WVU DB Garnett Hollis Accepts Invite, Chance to Impress Pro Scouts at Shrine Bowl
The end of the 2024 season will mean the start of the next chapter for Garnett Hollis. The cornerback will wrap up his college career after his lone season at WVU and put his sights on landing a chance to play professionally. As part of that pursuit, Hollis will participate in the East-West Shrine Bowl.
Hollis accepted his invitation to be part of the annual All-Star showcase event on Thursday. The Shrine Bowl will take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington Texas on Jan. 30, 2025.

After transferring from Northwestern, Hollis has experienced an up and down season as a Mountaineer. Hollis has 34 total tackles and six pass deflections through 10 games in 2024. This is a drop from his production in his final year at Northwestern in 2023, registering 49 tackles and an interception.
So while the jump from the Big Ten to the Big 12 has not paid off on the field for the Nashville, Tenn. native, he will still have an opportunity to impress professional scouts leading up to the NFL Draft.
In addition to Hollis, offensive lineman Wyatt Milum and long snapper Austin Brinkman will be participating in the Senior Bowl, but several other Mountaineers have been invited to take part in the Hulu Bowl.
Tight end Kole Taylor headlines a group of WVU players with Hula Bowl invites that includes defensive linemen Fatroma Mulbah and TJ Jackson and center Brandon Yates were all invited to the 2025 Hula Bowl.
