WVU Football Commits, Recruits Visiting for Final Home Game
The 2024 home finale offers the WVU football staff their last opportunity to host recruits for a game weekend in Morgantown. While they’re focused on ending a tough season strong and reaching bowl eligibility, they are also taking advantage of their last chance to impress prospects before the end of the season.
Below are some of the top recruits who will be in town and attending Saturday’s game against UCF at Milan Puskar Stadium. This week’s group includes players already committed who have visited numerous times and newer recruits who are making their first trip to WVU.
Brodie McWhorter (2026 4-Star QB, Georgia)
McWhorter, a 6-foot-2, 195-pound quarterback out of Cass High School in Kingston, Ga., announced his commitment to West Virginia on June 24.
“All glory to God! There is nothing else like Morgantown and who wouldn’t want to play for coach Brown? More than grateful for the WVU staff. Country roads, take more home! Who’s next.” McWhorter wrote on social media at the time of his commitment.
Rivals labels McWhorter as a four-star while 247 Sports and On3 Sports only award him three stars. McWhorter is ranked within the top 40 Georgia players and top 25 quarterbacks nationally in his class.
AJ Marks (2026 DB/ATH, Michigan)
Michael Sammarco (2027 LB, Ohio)
Chase Enlow (2026 3-Star RB, New Jersey)
The New Jersey native posted about his excitement for his upcoming trip to visit WVU on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday. “Excited to be at WVU football this weekend for the game! Can’t wait to get on campus!!,” said Enlow about getting to experience WVU vs. UCF from Milan Puskar Stadium.
