Even with another year left of high school, a top recruit is narrowing down his list of potential college programs, and he’s including the Mountaineers.

Keylen Adams, a four-star wide receiver out of Green Run High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia, released his top 12 on Saturday. Adams lists himself as 6’2” and 185 pounds on his Twitter bio, but is considered closer to 170 by 247 Sports.

Adam’s is ranked among the top overall players for the 2024 class in the state of Virginia. 247 Sports has him in the number one spot while Rivals views him as the third best among current juniors. To take it one step further, both major publications have Adams in the top 25 wide receivers nation wide. He’s 25th for Rivals and all the way in the top 20 at 19 on 247 Sports. On3Sports agrees with the 25th rank for him as far as players at his position around the country.

He’s still a year away from being able to be on anyone’s campus as a student athlete, but it’s already safe to say Adams will have options when deciding where to continue his career. Fortunately for West Virginia, Adams has WVU in the mix to keep courting him.

Adams also has South Carolina, Florida State, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Pitt, Penn State, Miami (FL), East Carolina, Duke, Michigan State and Ole Miss in his top 12 with WVU.

Marshall, Michigan, Maryland, Syracuse and his home state Virginia are among the programs Adams was previously considering but are not now part of his top 12.
