A WVU Uniform Voted Winner of Uniform of the Year Award

WVU Hockey new alternate uniforms

With so much of the recent WVU uniform talk centered around a spin for football, it’s another Mountaineer team claiming an award for their look.

As voted by the fans, West Virginia’s hockey team has been named the winner of the 2023-24 UNISWAG College Club Hockey Uniform of the Year Award.

And honestly, this isn’t that much of a surprise. Not only do we all know WVU fans like to vote in polls, but these hockey sweaters sparked praise from people all over the country on social media when they were unveiled back in October.

These alternate jerseys show mountains and trees at the bottom and a big image of the state of West Virginia on the chest. WVU’s WV logo is in gold and placed in the center of the state design. The helmet and gloves are show as either a dark hade of blue or gold.

National outlets like Bar Down and even Bleacher Report Open Ice helped spread the word about West Virginia’s new sweater by posting pictures on their platforms.
