Morgantown, WV – Today at the weekly Dana Holgorsen press conference, Coach Holgorsen confirmed that redshirt sophomore cornerback Jake Long has a broken hand and will miss a few months.

“He will miss a few months, but we expect him back this season. Probably around the same time as (Brendan) Ferns and (Quandarius) Qualls.” Holgorsen said.

Other than the injury to Long and  with Ferns and Qualls still on the shelf, the team appears to be fully healthy. Coach Holgorsen also addressed the hand, foot and mouth disease breakout, saying it was identified by the medical staff and probably “spooked” the kids more than anything. He noted that the players who had it were treated as if they were injured and are now back at practice and workouts.
