The wait is officially over for former West Virginia safety. Kyzir White. White has been selected by the Los Angeles Chargers with the 119th overall pick in the fourth round. White is regarded as one of the nations best hard hitting safeties and his cover skills have improved each year he was in Morgantown. White played a couple different positions for the Mountaineers and expect him to do the same at the next level.
White stands in at 6’2″ and 218 lbs which gives him the opportunity to come down and play some linebacker if needed. He is a hybrid player which could help get him on the field sooner than anticipated. White tallied 152 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, 4 forced fumbles and 3 interceptions in his two seasons with the Mountaineers. White had a stellar senior season which helped him to be named to the All-Big 12 second team.
Kyzir becomes the 2nd member of the White family to go from Lackawanna College to West Virginia and get drafted. His older brother, Kevin, was selected 7th overall by the Chicago Bears in the 2015 draft. All attention turns to Ka’Raun White as he prepares to potentially be a day three pick,
