BREAKING: Spavital interviews for head coaching position

According to a report from Texas State beat writer Keff Ciardello, West Virginia offensive coordinator Jake Spavital has interviewed for the head coaching position at Texas State.

Texas State has reportedly also interviewed Houston offensive coordinator Kendal Briles and Ole Miss offensive coordinator Phil Longo. According to Ciardello, Briles appears to be the leading candidate for the job.

Spavital is closing out his 2nd year in his 2nd stint at West Virginia as a play caller. Don’t be surprised to see his name float around for other head coaching vacancies this offseason.
