Cajuste Breaks WVU’s All-Time NFL Combine Bench Press Record

Published

on

Yodny Cajuste had an impressive NFL Combine debut completing 32 reps in the bench press. His performance broke Mark Glowinski’s school record of 31 reps at the 2015 Combine. It’s also worth mentioning Chris Neild had 30 reps in 2011 and Dan Mozes had 28 reps in 2007. Multiple Mountaineers completed 27 reps in the 1990’s, 2000’s, and 2010’s.

Cajuste’s performance was the 4th most reps by an offensive lineman at this year’s NFL Combine. The three guys ahead had shorter arms than Yodny. Arm length is crucial to the NFL scouts evaluating players. NFL.com is projecting Cajuste to become an NFL starter, although maybe not as a rookie. Several NFL draft experts have him projected as a late first round draft pick.
