Country Roads Trust Unveils Special Release of Bourbon to Celebrate Million Dollar May

Joining the Trust lager, now there’s the “1863 Coal Collection” of bourbon via Country Roads Trust.

WVU’s NIL collective Country Roads Trust unveiled its latest creation in collaboration with Swilled Dog, a West Virginia based distillery, as part of the goal to raise a million dollars in the month of May.

“The fortunate recipient will claim a truly exclusive prize: 15 cases, totaling 90 – 750ml bottles, of this special release. This collection will not be available in any retail or online channels.

Crafted as a double-oaked straight bourbon whiskey using WV Great Barrel Company barrels, the liquid promises to be as unique and enjoyable as 1863 WV Gold and Take Me Home.

1863 Coal Collection will be ready in late November/early December 2024 and is poised to become a coveted holiday gift for all West Virginia sports fans. Throughout the production journey, expect regular updates and exclusive glimpses into the making of this incredible limited release.

We will coordinate arrangements for bottle pickup with the winner.

The 1863 Coal Collection is from a single barrel, barrel no. 1. This limited release is a must-have for any bourbon collector and West Virginia sports fan.”
