After another stellar performance against the Baylor Bears, West Virginia senior nose tackle Darius Stills has been named the Big 12 Co-Defensive Player of the Week.

Stills had four tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks against the Bears in WVU’s 27-21 double-overtime victory Saturday.

This is the second season in a row that Stills has had a big game against Baylor. On Halloween in 2019, Stills had an 11 tackle, three-sack performance against the Bears in Waco, TX.

Stills has been seeing an increased number of double and triple teams so far this season but said after the game Saturday that he just likes playing football so much that he does not mind.

Stills was named the Preseason Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and a Preseason All-American. He was also listed on numerous watchlists for awards this season.

TCU’s La’Kendrick Van Zandt was also named Big 12 Co-Defensive Player of the week. K-State running back Deuce Vaughn and Iowa State running back Breece Hall were named the Big 12 Co-Offensive Players of the Week.
