Darius Stills Named CBS Sports/247Sports Preseason All-American

The preseason accolades continue to roll in for West Virginia’s star defensive lineman, Darius Stills. Today it was announced that Stills was named a CBS Sports/247 Sports preseason All-American.

This honor comes after Stills was just yesterday he was named to the Senior Bowl Top 250 watchlist. Stills has also been named the Big 12 Preseason Defensive Player of the Year, as well as to the watch lists for the Outland and Nagurski Trophies, the Chuch Bednarik Award, and the IMPACT Trophy.

Stills earned First-Team All-Big 12 honors and was a finalist for the Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year Award following last season. He racked up 47 tackles and led the team in tackles for loss with 14.5 and tied with his brother, Dante, for the team lead in sacks with seven.

Other Big 12 players named preseason All-Americans include OK State running back Chubba Hubbard and receiver Tylan Wallace, Oklahoma center Creed Humphrey, Texas lineman Samuel Cosmi, quarterback Sam Ehlinger and kicker Gabe Brkic, Iowa State tight end Charlie Kolar and TCU linebacker Garret Wallow.
