Early 2026 Commit Emory Snyder Embarks on College Career | WVU Football All 105

Oklahoma native, Emory Snyder’s college career officially gets underway with the start of the 2026 season.
Back in April, 2025, Snyder (6-foot-4, 205 pounds) picked WVU over offers from programs like Colorado State, Rice, Washington State and several others. After being offered by WVU defensive coordinator Zac Alley in early February, Snyder made a couple trips to Morgantown and was vocal about his interest in West Virginia.
Snyder even committed before taking an official visit in June.
He visited fellow Big 12 schools Oklahoma State and TCU right before committing to WVU.

Last Year: Played defensive back and wide receiver for coach Loren Montgomery at Bixby High School.
Stats: As a high school senior in 2025, he had 64 tackles, including 41 solo stops, five tackles for loss, two interceptions, 10 pass breakups. On offense, he caught 21 passes for 376 yards and three touchdowns.
Post-Camp Outlook: Snyder’s first spring was about getting acclimated to West Virginia and Rich Rodriguez’s demands. He will now have to impress his coaches in fall camp to earn time on the field as a true freshman.ย

Accolades, Highlights: Snyder was named a member of the Oklahoma All-State Second-Team Defense and the Daily Oklahomanโs โSuper 30โ as a senior.
