West Virginia’s Chad Scott and Jordan Lesley are once again in the Sunshine State in search of potential Mountaineers.

Over the weekend, Melbourne (FL) 2020 defensive end Cooper Davis was one the latest West Virginia targets to receive an offer.

“Extremely honored to receive it,” Cooper said of his new offer. “Big 12 offers are huge. I’d love to play in any ‘Power 5’ school. Growing up, I was a huge Mizzou fan and they played in the Big 12. So, I’m used to that style of play.”

The 6-foot-7, 250-pound Florida star added that his “speed and [tremendous] length” is the best part of his game, but he would like to improve his strength and technique.

For now, Davis is focused on tallying a school-record 27 sacks during his senior season.

But when it does come time to commit, Davis stated that “the campus environment and town and community surrounding it” will be key factors.

Davis will visit Morgantown on March 2nd.
