Going from West Virginia to one of the premiere events in the NFL Draft process, the Senior Bowl announced Drew Fabianich as its new executive director on Wednesday.

Fabianich was brought in as the Mountaineers’ general manager by former WVU head coach Neal Brown in July of 2023. Before arriving in Morgantown, Fabianich was mostly known as a longtime national scout with the Dallas Cowboys. He also spent time as Auburn’s general manager as well.

Prior to embarking on his career in the management and scouting side of football, Fabianich coached high school football and was an assistant at the college level.

Overall, Fabianich has over 37 years working within football as either a coach, scout or in a leadership role.

The WVU football program hired Chuck Lillie to take over their general manager position in January as part of the coaching stand transition from Brown to Rich Rodriguez.

โ€œChuckโ€™s knowledge and experience gives our football program the ability to navigate through an ever-changing world of NIL and the portal,โ€ WVU head coach Rich Rodriguez said as part of the press release. โ€œWeโ€™re excited to have him here for our student-athletes and we welcome him here to WVU.โ€

Like a couple of West Virginiaโ€™s new coaches, Lillie comes to West Virginia from Oklahoma. He served as the assistant general manager with the Sooners. While with the Sooners, he worked with current WVU assistant head coach/defensive coordinator Zac Alley and nickels/sams coach Henry Weinreich. He’s spent time at a couple other major college programs and served as an intern in the NFL at the start of his career.

At WVU, Lillie will work as the lead negotiator on all player acquisition deals. He will oversee the entire scouting and recruiting operation and roster management process, including high school, junior college and portal recruitment and player retainment.
