Georgia Athlete Names WVU Amongst His Leaders

Over the past few years, the state of Georgia has been kind to West Virginia on the recruiting trail.

Defensive coordinator Vic Koenning is hoping that offering Ashburn athlete Jaterrius Morris will help keep that trend alive.

“I love it, man. I’m just ready to come visit and give it all I got.” Morris said after he received his offer from the Mountaineers.

The 6-foot, 182-pound Morris plays both safety and wide receiver for his high school, and his versatility is what he considers the best part of his game.

“I play both sides of the ball, so I’m going to let the coaches pick my position so it’s probably going to be defense.”

And even though Morris just recently received an offer form West Virginia, he already has good things to say about head coach Neal Brown.

“I can learn a lot of things from [Neal Brown] to prepare me for the future.”

Morris added that West Virginia, Iowa State, Akron, South Alabama, Georgia State and Southeast Missouri make up his list of top schools.

Morris plans on committing sometime in January or December.
