WATCH: Grier Drops a dime in Training Camp
On the third day of training camp, Carolina Panther rookie quarterback and former West Virginia Mountaineer star Will Grier worked with the first team Saturday morning. Starting quarterback Cam Newton is coming off a shoulder surgery in January, however, Cam was full go the first two days. He was held out on the third day as “part of the plan” according to head coach Ron Rivera.
Grier got his chance to showcase his talent and threw a dime to receiver Curtis Samuel

Newton was seen doing some light throwing on the side. There are no limitations for Newton and is expected to return to practice on Sunday.
Its only day three, but it’s a good sign that Grier got reps with the first team while second year QB Kyle Allen worked with the second team.
