Iona Transfer F Nelly Junior Joseph in Contact with WVU, Others

Iona transfer forward Nelly Junior Joseph told The Portal Report and WV Sports Now that West Virginia has shown interested. Joseph entered the transfer portal on Tuesday.
Joseph has heard from Murray State, Nebraska, New Mexico, San Diego, SMU, Vanderbilt and West Virginia so far.

Joseph (6-foot-9) just completed his junior year at Iona. Joseph averaged 14.9 points, 9.3 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.5 blocks through 35 games for the Gaels. Joseph, a native of Benin, appeared in the NCAA Tournament twice during his career. Joseph enters the portal as former head coach Rick Pitino takes the job at St. John’s.
Joseph has two years of eligibility left.
