Jevon Carter Just Played his Best Summer League Game… In the Playoff.

Newly minted NBA player Jevon Carter has apparently saved his best for last in the NBA Summer League. Carter turned in his best game of the short summer season on Thursday afternoon in the Grizzlies’ playoff game against Oklahoma City.

Memphis beat the Thunder 92-85 in the first round of the Las Vegas-based summer playoffs, thanks largely to the power of Jaren Jackson Jr. and the do-it-all abilities of Carter. Wayne Selden and Kobi Simmons were DNP’s.

Carter, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds, eight assists and a steal, was a game-high +12. Many of his best moments came in the form of a pass to Jackson.

Memphis will play Utah in the second round on Saturday night. That game begins at 10:30 p.m. Eastern and will be broadcast on ESPN2.
