JUCO WR Daveon Walker Withdraws WVU Football Commitment

Only six days after announcing his commitment to the WVU football program, Daveon Walker has changed his mind. The junior college wide receiver confirmed he’s withdrawing his commitment to West Virginia on Friday.
Walker (6-2, 180) played at Butler Community College in Kansas last season. He posted 331 receiving yards on 19 catches across six games.
A Georgia native, Walker originally signed with Vanderbilt out of Warner Robins High School. He appeared in just one game in two seasons with the Commodores before transferring to Butler. Walker will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
