Poland, a redshirt-senior, won the job as the Mountaineers’ long snapper for the 2020 season over junior J.P. Hadley. Poland had a clean 2020 season handling long snapping duties on field goals and punt. He was named a Special Teams U Second Team All-American following the season.
Poland, a Morgantown native, joined WVU after graduating from Morgantown High in 2016. He redshirted in 2016 and spent the next three seasons backing up starting long snapper Rex Sunahara before becoming the starter in 2020. He participated in WVU’s pro day in March.
