West Virginia has fallen in the AP Top-25 Poll for the fourth consecutive week.

The Mountaineers (19-8, 7-7 Big 12) are ranked No. 20 this week, down three spots from No. 17 last week. This is eight spots down from No. 12 WVU was ranked four weeks ago.

The Mountaineers split their game this week, defeating Oklahoma State at home on Tuesday and losing to TCU on the road on Saturday. The loss at TCU was the team’s fourth in five games.

West Virginia currently sits in fourth place in the Big 12, trailing Baylor, Kansas and Texas Tech.

Kansas (24-3, 13-1) is second in the conference but was No. 1 in this week’s rankings after upsetting Baylor over the weekend. The Bears (24-3, 13-1) hold onto the top spot in the conference but fell to No. 2 in the AP Poll. Texas Tech also re-enters the AP Poll this week coming in at No. 22.

There are only four games over the next two weeks left in the 2019-20 regular season for the Mountaineers. They will take on Texas on the road tonight and Oklahoma in the WVU Coliseum on Saturday this week. Next week the team will travel to Iowa State on Tuesday before hosting Baylor at home for the regular season finale.
