West Virginia assistant Chad Scott has been hard at work on the recruiting trail since coming to Morgantown.

This time, Scott has extended an offer to 2020 Willingboro (NJ) athlete Chris Long.

“I’m blessed and excited,” Long said about his offer from the Mountaineers. “West Virginia is one of my top schools. It’s a great program. Great players have come out of the program and into the league. Everything is great.”

Long currently holds offers from Baylor, Boston College, Duke, and Louisville, but believes he can be a difference-maker for the Mountaineers.

“I can bring WVU a championship. It would be very fun and would definitely be a blessing.”

The 6-foot, 170-pound pass-catcher added that a “family” feeling, the possibility of playing immediately and whoever helps him in the future will be factors in securing his commitment.
