West Virginia men’s basketball will host Bowling Green in a charity exhibition game on Friday night at the WVU Coliseum. Proceeds of the event will go to the Norma Mae Huggins Cancer Research Endowment Fund.

The game is set to tip off at 7 p.m. Individual tickets are $10 or $15 depending on the seat location.

Bowling Green is coming off a 13-18 season, finishing sixth in the MAC in 2021-22. The Falcons under head coach Michael Huger lost a few players to the transfer portal but return guard Samari Curtis. Curtis averaged 9.3 points on 44 percent shooting and 34 percent from three. University HS alumni Kaden Metheny will make his return to Morgantown as he looks to begin his sophomore campaign with Bowling Green.

Last season, West Virginia finished 16-17 as the team struggled in a dominant Big 12 Conference. The Mountaineers will be debuting a new-look roster this season as the team retooled its roster through the transfer portal. WVU’s coaching staff picked up Emmitt Matthews Jr., Erik Stevenson, Joe Toussaint and Tre Mitchell from the portal, while also bringing in three JUCO players.

West Virginia will open up their regular season starting on Nov. 7 against Mount St. Mary’s.
