There is some apparent good news to report for West Virginia after a 38-20 loss to Texas. According to Anjelica Trinone, CJ Donaldson is alert, stable and has movement in his extremities. He is awaiting further testing.

In a moment that delayed the game and forced everyone at the stadium to say a prayer, West Virginia’s Donaldson had to be carted off the field after enduring a knee to his head.

Players from both teams took to a knee after Donaldson didn’t get up following a one-yard run late in the third quarter.

Donaldson was seen giving a thumbs up as the predominantly Texas favored crowd in Austin cheered.

WV Sports Now will continue to update Donaldson’s status as we learn more information.
