Report: WVU Football’s Co-OC Parker Expected to Take Notre Dame Tight Ends Job

Weeks after WVU Football hired Graham Harrell from USC, former offensive coordinator Gerad Parker may be on the move.
When Harrell was hired, head coach Neal Brown intended to keep Parker on as a co-OC, but it appears as though Parker found better terms elsewhere.
247Sports‘ Tom Loy reports that Parker is likely to be hired away from West Virginia. Loy also adds that Parker interviewed for the position yesterday and was immediately at the top of the candidate pool. He will fill John McNulty’s position after the tight ends coach left for the OC spot at Boston College last weekend. Parker hasn’t specifically coached tight ends since Purdue in 2013-14, but he’s been overseeing offensive units in some capacity since 2005.
This story is developing, but taking into account the quick turnaround of this particular hiring process, Parker could be gone by the end of the week.
BREAKING: #IrishIllustrated and @247Sports have learned that #NotreDame is expected to hire current West Virginia co-offensive coordinator and receivers coach Gerad Parker as its next Tight Ends coach.
