Taz Sherman Records 1,000 Points at West Virginia

On Monday night, WVU guard Taz Sherman become the 55th player in West Virginia history record 1,000 career points. Coming into the game against TCU, Sherman needed 17 points to reach the milestone.

The Missouri City, Texas, native has spent three seasons at WVU after spending two seasons in JUCO ball. Sherman raised his point per game average over his three seasons averaging 5.3 points his junior year, 13.6 points his senior year and 18.7 so far in his fifth-year. The 6-foot-4 guard is shooting 41.7 percent from the field in his career.

Sherman finished the night with 23 points on 10-of-19 shooting from the field, reaching 1,006 points.
