Three-star LB Ja’Corey Hammett Flips Commitment from Miami to WVU
Ja’Corey Hammett, a 247Sports three-star linebacker, has changed his commitment from the University of Miami to West Virginia.
Hammett, a standout at Miami’s Northwestern High listed at 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds, made the announcement Wednesday afternoon on Twitter.

Hammett had committed his hometown Hurricanes in January. Hammett racked up 63 tackles and 11 sacks during his junior season in 2019 and helped Miami Northwestern win the 5A Championship in Florida.
According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Hammett is the No. 39 ranked outside linebacker in the country for the Class of 2021.
