#2. Ohio State Buckeyes– This is one I’ve never understood. These two neighboring states have fan bases who love to talk smack back and forth, but the teams have only played six times. As much friction as there is between Ohio and West Virginia natives, you would think this would be more of a historic rivalry. Maybe it’s just from living in the northern panhandle much of my life and my hatred for the Buckeyes is strong, but nonetheless it’d be a fun atmosphere.

Ohio State leads the all-time series 5-1, winning the last game 34-17 in 1998.

#1. Miami Hurricanes– Although the bowl game didn’t go as planned, getting to renew that “rivalry” with Miami certainly brought back old memories of the battles in the old Big East. The series was never really close, but the two fan bases absolutely hate each other and would make for an amazing atmosphere in Morgantown.

Miami leads the all time series 17-3.
