On Thursday night, 2022 TE Will Dixon announced that he will commit to West Virginia.

Dixon is a 3-star prospect from Hillsborough, NJ. With the commitment from Dixon, West Virginia head coach Neal Brown and his staff landed their second commitment of the day following three-star athlete Jordan Jackson’s commitment.

As first reported by Chris Anderson of 247Sports, Dixon will reclassify for the class of 2022 and enroll next week.

Dixon officially visited West Virginia this week as our readers learned on Thursday. The 6-foot-5 tight end also participated at West Virginia’s camp back on May 30.

Dixon announced his decision on Twitter.

The recruitment in Dixon was led by DL coach Andrew Jackson and tight ends coach Sean Reagan. The New Jersey native was also offered by Appalachian State, Bryant, Coastal Carolina, Fordham, James Madison, Liberty, Maine, Marshall, Monmouth, Old Dominion and Temple. West Virginia was Dixon’s only offer from the Power-5 level.

Dixon will bring the enrollment total for 2022 to 21 players. That class is No. 42 in the country.

West Virginia is currently 16th in the nation and third in the Big 12 for the class of 2023, according to 247Sports. Rivals has them at No. 18 and On3 Consensus puts them at No. 25.
