Austin-Cave (6-foot-1, 225 pounds) has spent two seasons at Miami, appearing in 17 games over that span. The Pennsauken, NJ, native recorded five total tackles this past season. Austin-Cave will have three years of eligibility remaining.
Austin-Cave will join a linebacker core that is in need of depth. Currently, the team notably has Lance Dixon, Exree Loe, Lee Kpogba and others set to play linebacker this season for the Mountaineers.
Over the last few weeks, Neal Brown and his coaching staff has been able to secure multiple players from the transfer portal like JT Daniels from Georgia and Mike Lockhart from Georgia Tech.
